The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview is pleased to announce the 38th Annual Alafia Lighted Boat Parade and Chili Cook-off contest to be held on Saturday December 3, 2022. The celebration will take place at the Riverview Civic Center with announcements of the boat parade winners at River’s Edge Bar and Grill.

Saturday, December 3rd,The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview invites you to experience the holidays Florida style!  Celebrate with us and cheer on your favorite decorated boats completely decked out for the holidays as they travel up the beautiful Alafia River!   Everyone is welcome! To enter your boat or compete in the Chili Cook Off, see below.  Festivities include:
 

5 PM - 8 PM:  Riverview Park & Civic Center, 11020 Park Dr, Riverview

  • Photos with Santa

  • Holiday music

  • Chili Cook Off - $5 to taste and vote.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place, sponsored by local restaurants

  • Riverfront viewing of the parade

  • 50/50 Raffle to benefit Friends of the County Parks

  • Gingerbread House competition voting 

8 PM - 10PM:  River’s Edge Bar & Grill, 6226 Ohio Ave, Gibsonton

  • After party where prizes will be announced.

  • Best Decorated Boat - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.  Prizes sponsored by River’s Edge Bar & Grill.

All event proceeds benefit Friends of County Parks and local community charities through the Rotary Foundation of FishHawk-Riverview.

With your $25 Registration, you will receive a $25 bar tab to use at River’s Edge at the VIP party.  Registration required to win prizes.

No Registration Fee; however, registration is required to win prizes.

We are excited to announce that Santa will be able to visit the children after disembarking from a boat at the Civic Center and onlookers will be listinening to Christmas music and watch the bright holiday lights of the boats in the parade. Last year over 30 boats participated. We hope to have more this year!
